Opportunity Overview:

As a Full Stack Engineer at TuSimple, you will work on both the back-end infrastructure and front-end Web UIs of various projects, from our offboard infrastructure services to the onboard system, to bring automation and visualization to the company. Your work will greatly improve the efficiency of the research of our algorithm scientists, and expedite the development of engineering infrastructure projects.

Opportunity Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining services to manage and schedule personnel, trucks and data resources for on-truck autonomous vehicle testing and revenue trips.
• Developing and maintaining services to manage the hardware and software components on the autonomous trucks, which help to analyze, identify, or foresee potential issues of the autonomous system running environment.
• Developing and maintaining a data processing platform to analyze and identify bottlenecks in the pre-trip procedures to improve resource utilization and availability of the autonomous fleet.
• Developing and maintaining services and tools to facilitate self-check, preparation, and post-trip processes
• Proactively identify problems and make technical suggestion on requirements

Experience and Skills required :

• Experience in developing scalable web applications based on microservice architecture.
• Experience with modern web service frameworks (Quarkus, Flask, Dropwizard, Spring Boot, etc.)
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, react, angular, etc.)
• Experience with modern frontend UI libraries (Ant Design, ElementUI, etc.)
• Experience in solving not-well-defined issues through researching, communication, experiments, etc.
• Experience in triaging complex problems
• Experience or exposure to using CI/CD (ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience or exposure to using AWS or other equivalent cloud platforms
• Experience or exposure to version control systems such as Git
• Fluent in programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, PythonPreferred Skills and 

Preferred:

• Familiar with front-end framework Vue JS 3
• Familiar with back-end framework Flask or Django
• Familiar with other fullstack libraries and toolchains (webpack, vite, babel, network debuggers, memory debuggers, etc.)
• Familiar with parallel programming and coroutines
• Familiar with the internals and advanced concepts in the above mentioned tech stacks
• Familiar with Git workflows
• Familiar with software engineering process and techniques (documentation, lifecycles, principles, design patterns, code quality, etc.)
