As a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Analyst you will be a member of the Mechanical Engineering team at TuSimple and play a key role in working with the design, test and manufacturing teams to develop, evaluate and integrate TuSimple’s next generation technology.
- 5 years of experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermal analysis
- Knowledgeable in electronics cooling, thermo-mechanical deformation, aero induced structural loads and design for drag reduction
- Additional experience in structural FEA is a plus
- Experienced CAD user
- Test environments definition for design verification testing
- Post processing of test instrumentation data into a presentable format for review
- Hands-on integration and collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines as well as quality and procurement
- In addition to analysis tasks, individual will be involved in design, development, building, and testing structural components, systems, and products
- Will be involved in all design phases: R&D, prototype, pre-production, production
- Sources, selects, and qualifies components
- Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability
- Experience with a variety of structural elements and manufacturing techniques
- BS degree in Engineering (Required) MS in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
- Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and capable of understanding and influencing cross-functional system level requirements
- Innovative, self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude
