Opportunity Overview 

The Quality Control Inspector position will work closely within Autonomy Operations to ensure the quality and accuracy of incoming/outgoing products. In this role, you will also perform critical quality testing and first article inspections to validate product requirements. Apply today and be a part of excellence!

Role Responsibilities

• Measure product dimensions, examining functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
• Monitor and inspect all incoming deliveries, identifying inaccurate or unacceptable orders received in the inventory system..
• Perform acceptable quality limit (AQL) sampling and procedures.
• Prepare required inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineer in specifications.
• Perform critical quality testing on projects covering mechanical installations and hardware testing.
• Perform first article inspections to validate product requirements with little to no assistance
• Assist engineering with special validation requirements for pre-production builds all of which may have limited information.
• Assist in design reviews on cross functional teams to ensure that product conforms to specifications.
• Audits and recommends improvement to inspection processes.
• Complete quality management documents associated with product disposition, including non-conformance documentation

Experience & Skills Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of experience in Quality Control
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
• Basic skill in Microsoft Word, Excel and other related software is a must
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Full range of movement in all limbs
• Dexterity to operate hand tools and gauges.
• Ability to read 3D models, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products.
• Ability to accurately use common gauges and measurement instruments for quality inspection purposes.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stand, stoop for intermittent periods of time

Preferred

• GD&T certification
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 
• Industrial/automation experience
• Knowledge of Arena and NetSuite
