Job Description:
Turner Pest Control is a rapidly growing pest control company that has been providing excellent service to our residential and commercial customers over the past 50 years. We are seeking a Lawn Pest Control Technician who is ready to join our family and help continue our company growth!
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated. Our technicians work independently throughout the day, while being supported by an incredible team of pest management professionals. If you enjoy being on the go, working outdoors, learning something new everyday, and interacting with a variety of customers, this position might be just what you have been searching for.
Position responsibilities include providing lawn pest control services for our customers and setting reasonable expectations of results after services are performed. We provide all necessary training to get you started on your career as a pest management professional, as well as continuing education to keep you up to date on the latest and greatest in the pest world.
Duties include:
  • Complete the application of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides on a preset daily route
  • Identify lawn and or pest problems and develop solutions to those problems
  • Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers, both internal and external
  • Safely drive a company vehicle
  • Use of handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls and documents
  • Provide customers with general information about our various services
  • Conduct service calls as needed
  • Problem solving and/or complaint resolution
Requirements:
  • Must enjoy working outdoors
  • Must enjoy hands on work
  • Ability to safely drive a large, heavy lawn truck
  • No fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, etc.
  • Able to withstand long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, squatting
  • Be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be competent with the use of new technology
  • Be organized and able to manage their own daily route

To be qualified:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Have a valid Florida driver's license with minimal moving violations
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Have a HS Diploma or equivalent
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type:
This is a full-time position. Some Saturdays may be required.
Travel:
Local daily travel within the assigned territory.
