Description

The Assistant Branch Manager oversees the efficient operation of the branch to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff. The duties are contingent on the scope of services that are offered at the facility. Situations can move quickly from low stress to high stress and can require flexible hours, including weekends. 

Essential duties consist of:

· Monitoring activity in the branch to ensure compliance with credit union standards, policies, procedures, and all governmental regulations. 

· Provide leadership and management to direct reports. Including but not limited to performance management, training and development and accountability.

· Collaborate with HR to ensure departmental employment needs are met; responsible for hiring decisions and coordinating with HR regarding disciplinaries and terminations

· Collaborate with the Member Service Director to implement the operational plan for the Teller and Member Service teams, to achieve growth objectives. 

· Audit of Teller draws, CDU, ATM, Vault

· Allocate resources to meet operational needs.

· Establish goals for direct reports that align with the company strategy, monitor and coach to these goals and create tracking mechanisms.

· Assist team members with questions and concerns and provide necessary/requested information

· Effectively evaluate the efficiency of the branch and develop specific recommendations for improvements to staffing, facilities, products, pricing, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the Head of Branch Operations

· Execute and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely manner.

· Assist with and/or manage projects as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

· Associates Degree

· 3 years of experience in a similar field

· 2 years of supervisory experience 

OR

· Equivalent combination of education and experience
