We are looking for a Lead Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will Lead a team of a talented software developers that works on mission-critical applications.

As a Lead developer, you will research, design, implement, and manage software programs. Additionally, you will also contribute to Java/Java EE application development activities while providing oversight expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

Responsibilities:
• Leading a development team to implement and test software solutions
• Collaborating with developers, business system analysts and testing specialists to deliver the high-quality solution
• Interacting with clients, IT, and business stakeholders to present solutions, cost estimates, and delivery schedules
• Planning, analyzing, and defining solutions through business, functional and technical expertise.
• Performing requirement analyses.
• Developing high-quality and detailed designs
• Identifying risk and conducting mitigation action planning
• Reviewing the work of other developers and providing feedback.
• Defining and using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.
• Ensuring designs and implementations are compliant with specifications.
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Properly document the system, including coding, design, and testing.
• Ensure code meets or exceeds standards.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.

Primary Roles
• Leadership and mentoring of a development team in a Java language environment

Position Requirements
Experience:
o With BS: 10 years applied Java development experience. Recent technical leadership responsibilities.
o Without BS: 14 years relevant development experience with recent technical leadership responsibilities.
• Languages: Java 8, SQL
• Database: Oracle (19c preferred)
• Source Control: GIT, SVN
• IDE: Eclipse 2019-12 and newer
• Test-driven Development, Unit Testing Frameworks (Junit 4/5, JMockit)
Nice to Have:
• Scrum/Agile experience
• PL/SQL
• Python
• Experience with Pair Programming, Refactoring, Continuous Integration
• C#/.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, EF
• Experience configuring and/or deploying to Java application servers (Jboss 6.x)
