TSSCANDIDATEPORTAL is Hiring a Project Manager Near Simi Valley, CA

TSS is seeking a candidate with at least 5-years of experience in project management. Has demonstrated the ability to evaluate and communicate highly technical information relevant to soil and groundwater cleanups such as conducting human health risk assessments, evaluating toxicity of environmental exposure pathways for cancer risks or non-cancer hazards. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: The technical challenges related to the ETEC cleanup project require the candidate to have a strong technical background; having experience with environmental projects in California is a plus. Desired experience working with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Should have extensive knowledge of managing federal regulatory compliance. Has demonstrated the ability to evaluate project performance toward mission priorities by conducting regular technical and scientific reviews. Has experience planning for and evaluating technically complex topics. Capable of communicating technical results and nuanced information related to soil and groundwater cleanups such as human health risks related to toxicological environmental exposures to both technical and non-technical audiences. Serve as a technical advisor responsible for reviewing contractor environmental, operations, safety, and health compliance for the ETEC groundwater and soil remediation project. Review and evaluate the adequacy of DOE contractor work plans, technical reports, performance indicators, and other technical and management documents. Provide the ETEC field site with Regulatory Support by tracking and documenting Federal, State and Local regulatory requests and changes relevant to the project and support recommended actions and responses with sound technical justifications. Support the ETEC project’s compliance with federal and state laws to include National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Serve as the technical lead on a team whose goal is to improve stakeholder outreach to facilitate information sharing and enhancing the dialog with community members who share disparate points of view on the cleanup at ETEC. Generate reports and other supporting materials on the project’s status that facilitate communications with both internal and external stakeholders. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical Field such as science or engineering. A focus on natural resource management or environmental science is a preferred.
