Overview of the Organization
We are a small non-profit organization that provides consultation, coaching, and technical assistance to organizations and communities using equitable approaches that foster collaboration, drive improvement, and sustain health outcomes.
Our strategic focus is centering health equity in all that we do, including cultivating growth at the individual, organizational, and institutional levels both for ourselves and those that we serve. We recognize that the tools and methods of improvement science, if applied with intention and combined with other methods to address inequities, can help us drive change in our work and in support of others. At the same time, without intention, improvement tools, science and methods can perpetuate or even worsen disparities. We keep this lens front and center as we support teams to center equity and improve health outcomes.
We currently have eight team members who serve as both staff and leadership team. We are a remote organization with strong ties to North Carolina, where we originated, that has grown to maintain a national presence. We work in the Eastern Time zone, leveraging in-person visits to grow strategic relationships and support critical functions in the field. Our annual budget is approximately $1.3M. Funding streams include foundation grants, federal sources, and contracts. We often serve as subcontractors, bringing equitable improvement to large initiatives. Many of our partners are repeat customers! We have 501c3 charitable status through our fiscal sponsor agency Third Sector of New England (TSNE), which provides back-office functions such as contracting, finance, and human resources. We operate as an independently directed nonprofit led by an executive director and advisory board under a mutual agreement with TSNE MissionWorks.

Regarding COVID-19: TSNE considers the health and safety of our employees of the utmost importance, and due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and subject to your state and local laws, our policy requires that all employees performing in-person work at a TSNE designated office are fully vaccinated. Compensation and Benefits
Location: Work will be primarily performed remotely. Work is eligible for 100% remote work
Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $135,000 - 150,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Population Health Improvement Partners strives to hold pay equity as a core value of the organization. As such, the salary range for the Executive Director position is $135,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and within the framework of the organization’s annual operating budget.
