Job Title: Revenue Accountant

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Classification: Full Time – Non-exempt

Core PurposeThe Revenue Accountant is responsible for generating and tracking financial transactions, monitoring client payments, and revenue reporting according to company policy and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This individual collaborates with Client Service Teams, Operations, and the Finance and Accounting function to ensure accurate revenue recording and collection across the organization.

Responsibilities▪ Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
▪ Fee revenue administration for monthly, quarterly, and annual account fees.
▪ Sets up fee schedule for new accounts and/or performs maintenance on existing accounts.
▪ Reviews new and existing account fee schedules and documentation for accuracy.
▪ Prepares and distributes invoices and initiates electronic payments where applicable.
▪ Serves as the lead resource for researching and problem-solving fee related issues or questions.
▪ Performs revenue accounting activities – including the posting, variance analysis and reconciliation of ledger accounts.
▪ Prepares financial reports for relationship managers and management.
▪ Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting principles.
▪ Communicates ideas of process improvements or cost efficiencies as it relates to the company.
▪ Provides support to revenue forecasting and budgeting.
▪ Performs ad-hoc revenue research or special projects as assigned.
▪ Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications▪ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
▪ 2 years of relevant experience in an Accounting or Finance role preferred
▪ Excellent technology skills with proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software applications
▪ Accurate data entry skills required
▪ Excellent organizational and time management skills
▪ Strong problem-solving abilities
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills
▪ Attention to detail and report formatting
▪ Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all records and information
▪ Deadline oriented
