Position Title: Human Resources Specialist

Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Job summary: The Human Resources Specialist will work with the Director of Human Resources and the Human Resources department to maintain the day-to-day operations of department including hiring staff, terminations, benefits, leave, payroll and enforcing company policies and practices.

​​Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for onboarding and offboarding processes
• Create and maintain personnel files
• Assist the HR team with the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records/compliance required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
• Understand existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting Human Resources Management
• Oversee day-to-day Company communications to Employees
• Assist with day-to-day management of benefits administration
• Create departmental reports, audit requests, and analytics as requested
• Works with Employee Relations Manager, managers and employees on employee relation’s issues including routine and complex issues; assists departments to resolve employee issues and develop solutions
• Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action
• Process workers compensation, unemployment claims, and general HR correspondence 
• Take on special projects that align with the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition departments

Job requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent/ some college is preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, Google mail
• Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of file management, applicant tracking, minutes managing and other administrative duties
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
