Role Summary Works with moderate independence to ensure that established policies and procedures are followed to ensure legal compliance and assists management in compiling reports for submission to various regulatory agencies. About The Role: The Compliance Specialist is responsible for regularly preparing and maintaining official records, filings, registrations and notices as required by federal, state, and other regulatory authorities to ensure compliance, and responsible for filing regulatory reports regarding the firm's ownership of securities. In addition, the Compliance Specialist will assist employees and contractors of T. Rowe Price with their Code of Ethics obligations. This includes answering questions related to Code of Ethics policies and procedures, preparing and maintaining official records, and supporting the systems and processes in place to facilitate Code of Ethics administration. This position requires incumbents to follow existing procedures in a compliance environment to accomplish the objectives set by the Director of Compliance and other Compliance staff. This position works under moderate supervision and does not supervise other staff. Responsibilities: Under moderate supervision, conducts research and investigation of suspicious activity. Works with partners in internal and external channels to identify fraud. Monitors excessive trading to identify shareholders violating trade policies. Reviews and monitors risk management reports, including outbound wire review, possible fraud items, new account early warning reports, invalid tax identification number reports, etc. Corresponds with customers and banks regarding any issues with accounting systems or potential compliance violations. Assists with compiling reports on various businesses and ensuring that critical risks are controlled for in the audit process. Responsible for taking part in testing process and the identification and resolution of novel issues. Acts as a secondary resource on firm compliance policies and procedures. Guides more junior associates in issue resolution or determines the next level of support required. Typical Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 3 years of total relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications A team-worker who must be able to build positive working relationships.
