Tropic Supply, the largest independent, family-owned HVAC and refrigeration wholesale distributor in Florida, is currently seeking a passionate person looking to be part of a family. Our Accounting Team has the right spot for you with our Accounts Receivable department! 

Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable is responsible for processing daily Accounts Receivable cash posting, scanning, filing, and other duties as described below:

• Prepare checks for deposit, including check endorsement, deposit slips, and posting spreadsheets for each deposit batch.
• Scan customer checks to the bank for direct deposit.
• Daily data entry and posting of deposit batches as accurately as possible. Any discrepancy should be given to a member of the Credit Department to contact the customer for clarification.
• She maintained electronic and paper files for all cash receipts, batches, and documents.
• Provide customers with requested documentation, such as invoice copies of Proof of Delivery.
• Distribute all Purchase Orders from customers to the appropriate ResourCenterster.
• Maintain current Sales Tax Certifications for all tax-exempt customers.
• Weekly mail out of invoices and monthly mail out of statements.
• Account for handwritten invoices (when the paper is down) from all Resource Center locations.
• E-mail or fax invoices/pick-slips per customer request.
• Perform general administrative duties.
• Assist in the annual inventory for the warehouse.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the company/management.

Qualifications

Skills

• Proficient communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.

Education and Experience

• Two years of previous Accounts Receivable experience, collections, and cash posting preferred.
