Description
In coordination with the President, the Director of facilities and Maintenance oversees the timely and efficient maintenance and development of school facilities providing direct and indirect services for the maintenance of the school campus by liaising with appropriate members of the school's administration, organizing and supervising the work of paid maintenance, housekeeping and grounds staff, and contracting with outside vendors as needed.
Requirements
Maintenance of all buildings Systems and Structures, administrative duties, Supervisory duties, are all needed to perform the job successfully. The ideal candidate will have at least an associate degree in engineering, facility management or a closely related field and three to five years related experience of, equivalent combination of professional certification and experience. Requires knowledge of landscaping, heating, ventilation, HVAC systems, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other generally understood maintenance skills. Requires also, familiarity with and appreciation for city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in supervising and motivating colleagues.
