Position Summary:

How You Will Spend Your Days as an Assembler:
  • Assembling precut light gauge metal trusses
  • Moving precut parts to work areas and positioning parts in alignment with supervisors' instructions and engineered design specifications
  • Verify dimensions of precut parts for accuracy of assembly
  • Utilize hammers, saws, cordless drill/screw guns to assemble truss components
Job Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of light gauge materials, production processes, machines, hardware, and assembly tools.
  • We are willing to train the right candidates! But it's also great if you have construction or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work at a moderate pace while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Skills:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Physical Demands:
  • While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and repetitive use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hour work shifts
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environments:
  • Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and background checks.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, , and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
