WGN-TV is looking for an Associate Producer to assist producers and assignment editors in all areas of their work. Responsibilities: Contribute ideas for stories and segments Book guests and produce interviews for broadcast Support newscast producers, including searching and selecting stories for shows, researching background for segments, writing teases and ordering graphics Work with reporters on elements needed for packages and live shots Serve as a fill-in show producer when needed Requirements and Skills: Bachelor’s degree or previous newsroom experience preferred Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong news judgment and organizational skills Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to work a schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays Nexstar Media Group (NASDAQ: NXST) is a leading diversified media company that leverages localism to bring new services and value to consumers and advertisers through its traditional media, digital and mobile media platforms.
