Machine Operator, 2nd shift

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, occasional weekend work and overtime
Hours: 2:30pm – 12:00am
Position Responsibilities:

• Operating food manufacturing machines, packaging, fillers and other machinery.
• Learning all aspects of the machine and line you are running.
• Communicate with the production managers and maintenance department on any issues with the line or machine specifically.
• Utilize the productivity software to track machine efficiency and communicate issues.
• Communicate to your fellow line employees throughout the day ensuring all product is being produced efficiently, accurately and with the highest quality standards.
• Learn and execute the start-up and shut down of the line and supporting the line during the run.
• Documenting production runs including quantities produced during the day, ingredient lot numbers and quantities used and label check and weight verification.
• This position is also called upon to perform other duties not specifically outlined in this posting.

Job Requirements:

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production line, and equipment.
• 2 years of mechanical operating manufacturing experience.
• Food industry experience is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude to operate manufacturing equipment.
• Communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
• Bilingual; fluent in another language other than English is a plus.
• Exposure to food processing systems, including high speed production lines.
• Availability to work flexible hours as required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling products, computers, or machinery. The employee is subject to assist and support up to 50 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a as needed basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate equipment if required. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and non-moving mechanical parts. The employee could have work conditions that are extremely cold or extremely hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
