Tri Star Energyis currently seeking an experienced and qualified Paralegal to join our innovative Legal team in our Store Support Center in Nashville, TN. The Paralegal is responsible for researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist the VP, General Counsel by performing a variety of support duties.

• Prepares legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust instruments for review, approval, and use by VP, general counsel.
• Performs other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, and reading and routing incoming mail
• Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains document files.
• Prepares real estate closing statements and assists in the closing process.
• Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system.
• Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
• Maintains the lease tracking spreadsheet and associated real estate documents and files.
• Manages the contract due diligence periods and tracking for the real estate development team.
• Reviews monthly rent payments.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Law, Accounting, or a related field
• Paralegal Certification
• 4 years of prior corporate Paralegal experience
• Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience in job-related activities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the C-Store, energy, retail, and/or hospitality industries
