CNC Civil Services a WBE/SBE firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to our rapidly growing Engineering Department. This position offers great opportunity for professional development and career advancement.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

Must have experience on stormwater management and sediment control design in the Washington DC Metropolitan area .

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in civil engineering projects including phases of feasibility, conceptual design, construction document preparation, permitting, and construction management and documentation.
• DC PE License is required or should be able to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency in use of AutoDesk Civil 3D or Microstation.
• Knowledge in Engineering software such as TR20, TR55, HydroCAD, Flowmaster, or similar.
• Support preparation of land development design and permitting documents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Produce engineering computations and design drawings for land development including utilities, roadways, site grading, storm drain systems, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control.
• Adapt in an engineering environment with high pace engineering plan production.
• Provide QC review on design staff production.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with survey teams as required.
• Preparation of quantity and cost estimates.
• Preparation construction specifications.
• Handle Construction Administration tasks such as responding to RFIs and Shop Drawings as well as preparation of as-builts.

Specific skills:

• Experience in Washington DC Metropolitan Area is highly preferred.
• Professional registration preferred but not required.
