The Corporate Chaplain is responsible for providing compassionate, spiritual care that explores team member’s diverse beliefs and value systems, honors their experiences, and empowers them with resources to enhance functions and well-being. The chaplain provides spiritual and emotional guidance to team members and their immediate families while respecting people’s unique beliefs, values, and experiences. This is a part-time position, about 25 hours per week, and would work at ATS corporate office in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

The chaplain has an enterprise-wide impact and is an effective coach, leader, and change agent within the organization while maintaining team member’s beliefs and value systems. The chaplain will demonstrate our core values, maintain confidentiality, collaborate, and work effectively and positively with the Board, Senior leadership, HR, and department team leaders to support and care for the employee’s needs while maintaining the values of the organization.

Education and Experience

• Successful completion of a Clinical Pastoral Education course and formal training in a similar or qualified field.
• Transportation knowledge or similar industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to maintain a minimum of 200 clinical hours at qualified institutions of CPE/ACPE annually.
• Clergy/Pastoral endorsements.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with proven ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced and high-energy environment. Flexible and highly adaptable to change.
• Experienced in supporting multiple business units or divisions in multiple locations.
• Experienced in handling sensitive material and maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
• Demonstrate the ability to be observant and provide recommendations that support the business while providing care to employees and management.
• Demonstrate the ability to invite dialog, maintain confidentiality, and gain information needed for a proper assessment to provide appropriate spiritual care.
• A team player with a positive attitude and collaborative approach.
• Excellent communication (written, listening, and verbal) and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Must be flexible to work within hours needed as situations arise.
• Ability to travel, including overnights, as required to perform responsibilities as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional guidance to team leaders and their immediate families while respecting people’s unique beliefs, values, and experiences.
• Maintain a judgment-free presence, inclusive of all faiths, sexual orientations, and ethnicities.
• Ability to be on-call on weekends, or evenings to respond to critical incident situations where team members and their families have been traumatized.
• Maintain confidentiality in all chaplain conversations except in those that reveal risk or injury to self, others, or the business.
• Make hospital and home visits to team members and immediate family members as necessary
• Provide appropriate chaplain presence at memorials and funerals of team members.
• Provide bereavement follow-up to families as appropriate or needed.
• Maintain an ongoing process of support for staff as needed during times of crisis or following a significant death.
• Cultivate and maintain a network of referral resources through community partnerships and service providers that can assist in serving the various needs of team members.
• Collaborate with Learning and Development staff to identify and deliver relevant ongoing education, and volunteer opportunities.
• Serve as an advisor to ATS Leadership on matters of religion, morals/ethics, and team member morale and pulse.
• Maintain moral and ethical character and conduct that is above reproach and protects the reputational integrity of the company.
• Keep accurate records of contacts and write required reports assisting ATS Leadership in identifying and assessing risks.
• Support ATS’ culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.
• Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
