Description

The primary function of this role is to provide direct support to the general manager and assist in overseeing the service department. Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the production of inside and outside service technicians

• Dispatch service technicians to appropriate job sites and customers

• Service customer vehicles as needed

• Assist with hiring and training of new employees in the service department

• Provide back-up to the General Manager in store operations

• Communicate effectively with customers and employees to asses any needs

• Ensure that the highest quality service is maintained for all customers

• Complete the company training program, including TIA certification within 6 months of hire date

• Understand and relay OSHA regulations and standards to all subordinates

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Experience in the automotive or tire industry

• Previous experience in a supervisory role

• Valid driver's license and proof of an acceptable driving record

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Physical ability to lift/maneuver 75 pounds on a regular basis

• Ability to pass the vision and physical components of the state driving exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree or post-secondary education in related field

• Commercial Tire service experience is a huge plus

• Fleet dispatch experience
