The Social Media Coordinator is primarily responsible for developing strategic campaigns and compelling content across a variety of social and digital channels, increasing awareness and brand visibility, enhancing audience engagement, and generating inquiries and leads for the integrated Transwestern companies. Drawing upon a variety of internal sources, the person in this role will ensure the tone and branding of content supports corporate goals and is delivered consistently across the social channels. Equally important is the ability to track and analyze engagement in order to refine and build upon success.
The Social Media Coordinator will work under the direction of the Executive Vice President, National Marketing & Communications, to create written and visual content that not only drives social engagement, but also demonstrates the value of an integrated approach to marketing and communications. As such, the ideal candidate will stay abreast of Transwestern's internal and external communications, and contribute to these activities, when appropriate. This position requires knowledge of multi-faceted marketing concepts, strong writing skills and a desire to evolve social media to meet the needs of a dynamic, innovative organization that is viewed as a leader in the commercial real estate industry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage and drive the strategy for the company's extensive array of social media accounts, from content creation through distribution, as well as for the Transwestern blog.
  • Work with the Executive Vice President and Communications team to evaluate and adjust existing social media strategy.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of targeted social media campaigns.
  • Develop and populate content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for all social media sites.
  • Monitor and report internally on social media performance.
  • Produce and manage a content calendar on a weekly and monthly basis for internal communications
  • Reinforce best practices and train Transwestern team members on using LinkedIn.
  • Proofread internal and external content to ensure appropriate branding and messaging.
  • Liaise with regional marketing teams to surface content.
  • Provide support to National Marketing team on various communications related projects and initiatives, as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English or Journalism.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience in PR, internal communications and social media.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate or related industry a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, SlideShare, Meltwater, Sprout and Hootsuite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to foster relationships and build rapport with professionals across departments.
  • Capable of serving several audiences while remaining committed to generating the best result.
  • Solid organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills. Able to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects and complete deliverables within tight timelines.
  • Flexible, highly creative, and enthusiastic about communicating the company's vision, capabilities and differentiators.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Comfortable identifying options and assertively providing a recommendation for action. Capable of proactively executing agreed-upon plan.
  • Keen attention to detail. Strong proofreading capabilities and a commitment to achieving the highest-quality deliverables and outcomes.
  • Superb interpersonal, collaboration and consensus-building skills.
  • Service-oriented and responsive.
