Job purpose

The Claims Coordinator is responsible for supporting carrier compliance administration, assisting in investigating and settling all claims, and participating in all customer contracts and carrier set ups. The Claims Coordinator is responsible for providing keen attention to detail and acting as a liaison for both internal departments and customers.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist in thoroughly investigating and settling claims, including OS&D, Bond, and Property Damage
• Support all carrier compliance duties, including MCP updates and carrier approval requests
• Send report of carrier relationship statuses weekly to necessary team members and update associated KeyPoint codes as needed
• Monitor changes in the transportation industry, including government regulations
• Perform customer account set up and maintenance
• Assist the Claims and Compliance Manager (CCM) as an escalation point of contact for all departments when severe OS&D occurs
• Ensure T1’s standards for safety and compliance policies are maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of claims and/or carrier compliance experience in logistics preferred
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience minimum preferred
• Experience within transportation and logistics industry preferred
• Extensive experience and knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF and other programs
• Familiarity with Google Drive (G-mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) preferred
• Extreme attention to detail

• Ability to effectively multi-task while maintaining accuracy in work

• Customer and carrier contract knowledge preferred

Working conditions

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard equipment available.
