We are humbled by the long-term relationships with our customers, earned through the packaging solutions we offer, including design, engineering, testing, manufacturing, and fulfillment of custom and stock packaging Your Role Quality Assurance Supervisor Shift and Hours: Split Shift – 9:00am to 6:00pm, overtime available, as needed Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday’s, as needed As a Quality Assurance Supervisor with us, you ensure manufacturing processes and procedures are followed to ensure the quality of our products. You may visually inspect or manually test products or processes, before, during or after the manufacturing process. You may also run and monitor inspection equipment, as well as record and analyze quality data. Duties may be performed at workstations, assembly lines, laboratories, customer sites and warehouses and material storage locations. Depending on what is needed, you may find yourself standing for hours at a time or seated in a controlled environment What You’ll Be Doing Inspections Accept or reject work products by verifying the product or process meets the customer specifications and requirements. Keeps record of issues they find and sends defective products back to production line or suppliers for repair and review Will have the responsibility to review specifications, standards and/or test plans, and make recommendations Inspect product or process with specialized tools. This may include weighing or measuring finished products, visually inspecting workmanship and/or gauging product reliability May be required to conduct controlled testing on products or processes to determine how the products or processes perform in a simulated environment Improvement Recommendations Review, implement and follow up on corrective actions derived from customer complaints, customer returns, and/or non-conformances found and their root causes Perform time studies and/or process evaluations for recommended improvements Production Communication Trains and coaches teams in a specific job role to ensure work is performed as expected for safety, quality and production deadlines. This may require overnight work trips to any other TransPak facilities May require technical expertise such as maintaining certifications or licenses in order to properly train team members in proper handling (forklift, driver, pallet jack, nail gun skills) Gives feedback about performance to job expectations to ensure respectful accountability May manage time and attendance system and team member schedules for start/stop, meals, rest periods and time-off What We’d Like to See from You Required Associates degree or bachelor’s in engineering, Business or equivalent. 3 to 5 years’ experience in Quality Control is accepted in lieu of degree Minimum of two years of Quality Control on-the-job-experience Ability to attend/provide training and implement concepts learned during that training Must wear steel toe shoes/boots and other required personal protection equipment If you don’t own a pair of steel toed shoes/boots, TransPak will reimburse you up to $30 to buy a pair. Please save your receipt Proficient in the MS Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn proprietary software Ability to use measurement instruments and testing tools (i.e., measuring tape, calipers, etc.) Comfortable working overtime during peak manufacturing periods or audits, with short notice Highly Desired Bilingual English and Spanish Knowledge of ERP Systems Certificate in Quality Control, i.e., ASQ, or specialized in-industry training Ability to read Technical Drawings and Specifications Blueprints, Drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) Knowledge of inspection planning and process Interested but Concerned You’re Not Qualified?
