Production Supervisor

Translarity provides full wafer test solutions to the semiconductor industry. We are located in Fremont CA, Hutto, TX, Shanghai and Taiwan. This is a full-time role in the Fremont CA office and will report to the Director of US Production.
Position Purpose:
Translarity is in an aggressive growth phase and is seeking a Production Supervisor to help deliver state-of-the-art wafer test solutions to the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers and their suppliers. This is a hands-on position focused on MLC and MLO products. The successful candidate will lead the production efforts in our Fremont location while coordinating with other global facilities and directly contributing to process development and production.
Responsibilities will include:
· Oversee and manage production workers, ensuring all staff are meeting safety requirements and proper use of equipment.
· Contribute to smooth operation of photolithography, plating, etching, deposition, test and other production processes.
· Monitor materials usage and inventory control, tracking costs and ordering materials when necessary.
· Develop efficient production processes to maximize output while minimizing costs, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
· Train new employees on proper equipment use and safety protocols related to working with hazardous materials in a clean room environment, as well as familiarize them with company policies and procedures.
· Monitor quality assurance standards of products being produced, identifying defects or discrepancies with established specifications.
· Assist with production planning by creating schedules, coordinating activities between departments, and monitoring workflows to ensure deadlines are met.
· Troubleshoot any problems that arise during the production process to maintain efficiency while avoiding contamination or safety hazards.
· Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review progress and provide guidance on areas of improvement related to working safely in a clean room environment involving hazardous chemicals or materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Knowledge of production processes and procedures, as well as general principles of quality assurance.
· Familiarity with MLC/MLO technologies and processes including substrates, lithography, plating and deposition.
· Ability to manage and motivate staff to meet performance goals while adhering to safety protocols.
· Experience working in a clean room environment and handling hazardous materials safely.
· Familiarity with inventory control systems and ordering of materials when needed.
· Proven analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting production issues.
· Good communication and organizational abilities for managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
· Leadership qualities for providing guidance to other employees on workflows or areas for improvement regarding clean rooms and hazardous chemicals/materials usage.
· Ability to work independently and make decisions while adhering to safety protocols.
· Familiarity with both local and federal laws pertaining to hazardous materials usage.
· Aptitude for interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and schematics relating to production activities in clean rooms that involve hazardous chemicals or materials.
· Experience in reporting on key production metrics
· Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
· Understand basic GD&T
· Ability to use basic functions of SolidWorks and 2D CAD
· Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
Education and Experience
· 5 or more years in the semiconductor test industry
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
· Experience in a fast-paced development environment
· Track record of moving products from development to production.
