Transitions is seeking to add a Corporate Development Associate in our Naperville o?ce. This is a full-

time position. The Corporate Development Associate will be critical to each stage of the acquisitions

process, including business development, financial modelling, due diligence, transaction execution, and

integrations. They will work closely with Executive Team to help develop sustainable processes and

systems to support the business as it continues to grow through strategic efforts. 

The Corporate Development Associate must exhibit extremely strong quantitative and modeling skills,

be self-motivated and be able to adapt to several different roles. As one of a small acquisitions team,

the candidate will have a unique opportunity to help build the acquisition function and work closely with

senior management at Transitions as well as our Private Equity Sponsors. High performers will have the

ability to move up quickly within the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related subjects
• 2 years of work experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity / Venture Capital, or
• Management Consulting
• Experience in high growth, entrepreneurial companies
• Experience in Healthcare in a plus

• Excellent computer skills (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focused attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work directly with executive team members to identify and screen potential acquisitions
• Develop and maintain financial operational models
• Conduct due diligence on targets
• Draft and submit LOI’s to sellers
• Manage third party diligence providers (Quality of Earnings) and legal documentation process
• Draft and present investment memorandums to management team and private equity sponsors prior to each deal closing
• Interact directly with sellers and sellers’ advisors
• Assist in market research related to de novo strategy
• Publish business development reporting
• Lead deal pipeline calls with management team
