Web Development Manager
We are seeking a leader for our Website Development group to guide, develop, and grow a team of WordPress developers, front-end engineers, UX designers, and QA specialists in Scotland, Romania, and Canada.
In this role, you will manage the technical infrastructure for fulfilling web services and deliver a full-service website, provide guidance on web issues, and lead a team of web developers.

This role is remote but the candidate must reside in Nevada, (preferably in the greater Las Vegas area).
About You:
As a leader of the Website Development group, you are an expert in developing effective, aesthetic, and performant websites.
- Managerial experience required
- You should have at least 5 (ideally 10) years of developing best-in-class websites. You should have expertise with WordPress (Drupal, Adobe CE/CQ etc. a plus), and be familiar with writing custom HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, following W3C coding practices and emphasizing the scalability and maintainability of websites.
- You can provide guidance and thought leadership to the website development team
- You are a team player and fierce collaborator, though can also work independently
- You are proactive and self-directed with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge
- You maintain a high awareness of industry trends and issues, particularly regarding accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies
- The Website Development Manager should understand major browsers and browser development tools, and are familiar with testing and debugging across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smart phones and tablets
- You have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- You are knowledgeable and experienced with web development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
About the Role:
- As the Website Development Manager, you will guide, develop, and grow the Website Development group, managing multiple projects and developing the career of your team.
- Actively participate in the recruitment process to grow the Web Development team.
- Constantly seek to develop yourself by experimenting with new technologies and assess what could be useful for the team.
- Our new Website Development Manager will oversee projects from conception to implementation, designing and developing web architecture, and providing guidance and best practices on technical issues and challenges.
- Ensure that the team develops clean, efficient, maintainable, modular (JavaScript/HTML/CSS/ PHP) code.
- Contribute to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification).
- Collaborate and guide other non-technical staff, particularly UX and graphic designers, on how they can help with the process.
- Discuss technical solutions with clients and provide innovative new ideas and solutions; participate in pitches, customer presentations, and project reports.
- Conduct code reviews with fellow team members.
- Consistently meet deadlines and can prioritize multiple projects.
- As we work in global teams for global projects, flexibility to work a 40-hour week across time zones is important.
