Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Quality Manager’s role consists of, but not limited to, the following:
· Oversee all product development procedures to ensure compliance of quality standards.
· Verify that the purchased raw material or products from suppliers meet the specifications.
· Work closely with Purchasing department to monitor vendor’s performance.
· Supervise the inspectors/technicians and other staff to provide guidance and feedback.
· Inspect final output to guarantee that requirements are achieved, approving the right products, and rejecting defective ones.
· Keep accurate documentation of all processes and procedures in the plant.
· Analyze data to detect deviations from the standards.
· Submit detailed reports as needed.
· Be the driver of the continuous improvement in the plant.
· Be the lead quality communicator for General Motors plant personnel and products.
Required Education and/or Experience:
College Diploma (2-3 year) or University Degree (4-year) in Engineering, Mathematics, Technology, Science or Design - recommended
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Quality role - required
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of Team Leader or Management experience in manufacturing plant - recommended
Required Skills & Abilities:
Good communication and technical documentation skills.
Proficiency with design of experiment methods with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Functional understanding of quality systems and concepts relating OEM requirements.
Knowledge an experience with ISO standards and ITAF-16994 quality criteria
Proficiency with standard MS applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Reporting Relationships:
The Quality Manager- Upper Plant reports directly to the Senior Quality Manager for Transglobal Door
Working Conditions:
Primary work location will be based out of TG- Upper plant in Ohio with some time allocated to the TG- Carey plant in Ohio. (10mi. apart)
This work is performed in a manufacturing environment that requires working in production floor, warehouse facilities and office.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
