As a Transportation Compliance Specialist you'll review and approve driver applications and assist in the recruiting and personnel management processes; ensuring that all files are compliant according to TransForce standards and as required by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

In this role you will:

• Review driver qualification files in accordance with required standards for approval
• Compile and maintain proper driver qualification files
• Produce and maintain daily reports
• Respond to inquiries for previous employment verification
• Conduct employment verifications on new applicants seeking employment with TransForce
• Frequent database entry for status changes and employment
• Conduct background research as required
• Support Department of Transportation compliance activities
• Enhance the company’s positive image and provide exceptional customer service to associates and customers
• Strict adherence to the applicable federal, state, local laws and company policies and procedures are a must

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2 years transportation industry experience preferred
• Experience in high volume recruitment
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
• Great time management and organizational skills
• Experience in and ability to deliver superior customer service
• Motivated self-starter
• Proven ability to multi task
• Strong work ethic and a high level of integrity
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook and the ability to utilize internal systems

Working Conditions

• Position resides in general office areas. Travel between branch offices may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Position typically sits for extended periods of time, some lifting, bending and ability to access printers, copiers, file cabinets and operation of general office equipment required. Extended periods of use of a computer monitor, up to 90% of the time.
