Description

Job Purpose:

The Recruiter will partner and collaborate with branch personnel, Regional leadership, Regional Recruiting Coordinators, Compliance Department, and clients to ensure hiring goals are achieved and retention rate of Drivers is maximized.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy: Understand and implement ES’s strategic plan to deliver sustainable revenue and profitability growth

  • Sustainable growth of Driver Count
  • Best-in-Class safety and compliance
  • Strategy for onboarding and retaining drivers
  • Being the employer of choice for the highest quality drivers in the industry
  • Support a learning culture that experiments using the objectives and key results (OKR) process to implement the rapid propagation of best practices from branch to branch and division wide
  • Work collaboratively with team members (both branch personnel and customer resources) in a way that enables them to perform at the top of their potential, supporting retention and career development.

Sourcing of quality applications in quantities which allow TransForce to meet company hiring goals

  • Seek local sources for high quality applicants at a competitive cost
  • Build relationships within local communities to make the TransForce brand a recognizable leader for short and long-term driving positions
  • Prompt collaboration with Branch and Regional leaders, along with the Recruiting Center of Excellence if there are deficiencies
  • Prioritize long applications from the Recruiting Center of Excellence and continue to sell the candidate on Employment Solutions
  • Generates candidate reports and maintains data in applicant tracking system

Interview and sell drivers on Employment Solutions

  • Explain the many benefits of working for a staffing company
  • Discuss the Open Orders with the candidate with a focus on those that most align with the candidate’s needs
  • Collaborate with Applicant Processing Center for timely processing of candidate with a goal of getting them qualified within 4 business days

Collaborate with the branch Operations team to ensure all levels of branch management are involved in the retention of our driver

  • Daily contact with drivers with a focus on those at high risk for turnover; Short-Term Flex assignments
  • Utilize the weekly pay trend report and escalate concerns to branch leadership and to customers to secure higher pay rates
  • Utilize monthly reports for recognition of driver anniversary and birthdays and document in erecruit.
  • Skill Market drivers to clients as they are nearing the end of an assignment

Communicate professionally verbally and in writing, both internally and externally to instill trust and confidence in ES

  • Build relationships with candidates and TFG colleagues
  • Utilize written and verbal communication skills to always present TransForce in a positive light
  • Delivers New-Hire Orientation to candidates and completes I-9 documentation during the employment process

Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of successful recruiting/relationship building or sales experience.
  • Recruiting or industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge or general recruiting fundamentals
  • General knowledge of applicable employment and transportation regulations
  • Requires superior relationship building skills, strong communications, negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast based, high volume environment
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office and web-based software

Working Conditions:

Generally works in an office setting; some travel may be required. On call support may be required on nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use keyboard.
  • Ability to sit for up to 3.5 to 4 hours at a time performing duties relating to a computer and phone.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel independently throughout the geographic area to customer and various other locations.
