Transcat, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Rochester, NY

Overview

This position is responsible for the administrative functions and duties of the human resources department. The Human Resources Coordinator is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic attention to detail, organizational and time management skills. Excellent administrative and computer skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment are essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full new hire onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Administer all employee recognition programs such as our Making Things Happen program, years of service awards, and life event gifts
  • Manage and sort incoming department mail
  • Lead organization and planning for all employee events
  • Provide benefits administration assistance while helping employees understand benefit options available to them
  • Monthly reconciliation of all benefit invoices
  • Providing Employee Handbook acknowledgement reports as requested
  • Facilitate any on-site criminal background reports, drug screens, and letters
  • Assist with required compliance reporting (EEO, VETS, Affirmative Action)
  • Assist with the management of employee leave programs such as, FMLA, Disability and Workers’ Compensation
  • Assist with the administration of the company United Way and Volunteering programs
  • Assist the recruitment team with any administrative tasks such as refreshing job postings, setting up job boards at local colleges, preparing offer letters, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, and email campaigns via Indeed and/or LinkedIn
  • Assists with the maintenance and creation of job descriptions through Quality Assurance and iCIMS
  • Maintenance of employee records
  • Completing a variety of special projects related to HR policies and programs
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • The position requires an Associate’s degree in a related field, plus 1-2 years of HR Administration experience preferred
  • Previous experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro), or other HRIS, is preferred
  • Must possess the ability to work with confidential information
  • Display strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and MS Office skills are required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required
