Job Description 

The Product Analyst will work with our client in Government Contracting.
Our client is looking to hire a Product Analyst to join our team to develop technology-driven products as necessitated by our government contracts. This role requires an individual who is responsible for all product-related analysis, making use of both customer and product-level data. This individual is able to work in sync with the Product Manager, Product Owner, and Engineering team to deliver insights on the product features being developed for the customer and/or Product Owner. Additionally, this individual should be able to help lead the technical team to execute the product vision as it has been defined by the roadmap and business leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage product releases and product development operations;
  • Execute on the product vision;
  • Support product backlog population and maintenance in concert with the Product Owner;
  • Prioritizes and leads grooming of the product backlog;
  • Provide support to the business for product issue identification and resolution.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Product Managers and Owners
  • Support the product roadmap by aligning product iterations in a manner that supports the strategic vision;
  • Plan for and showcase value delivery for the business stakeholders with each iteration;
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation as necessitated by the business;
  • Conduct analyses necessary to support strategic development and decision-making. 
  • Be transparent about the development and the prioritization process:
  • Know how to say “no” when it is required in a way that is clear and understandable to stakeholders;
  • Ruthlessly prioritize while balancing the needs of users and stakeholders;
  • Work to generate consensus about the path forward with internal team members and external stakeholders. 

Qualifications:

  • 5 years in a Business Analysis/Agile development role;
  • 3 years of responsibility with organizing, prioritizing, and assessing work for development teams;
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate business and user needs to development teams required;
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to capture complex business and software needs in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences;
  • Experience collaborating on and translating the product roadmap into well-defined features and user stories for execution by the development team;
  • Verified ability to understand complex ideas and break them down into smaller sequential parts, while understanding interdependencies required to deliver solutions;
  • Balance of business acumen and technical knowledge

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Are comfortable with serving as an embedded member of the technical product delivery team and;
  • Can communicate and collaborate effectively between the technical team and the business to understand the details surrounding the key product requirements. 

Clearance 

  • No clearance is required. 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field; 

Certifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CPO) is a plus

Travel Requirements:

This position will involve no travel
