TRAFFIC PLANNING & DESIGN is Hiring a Resident Engineer Near Camden, NJ

Description

TPD is seeking Construction Resident Engineers with experience ranging from complex highway and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies. Our ideal candidates will have experience with one or more of these agencies and possess the licenses and certifications specified below. When submitting your resume, please list all licenses and certifications you possess, the date obtained, the expiration date, and the corresponding identification numbers for the license(s) and certificate (s).

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and supervise onsite inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications, and standards.
  • Prepare, review, maintain and submit all project documentation required such as inspection reports, payment estimates, work orders, schedules, etc.
  • Ability to provide project correspondence, attend project meetings and resolve field issues.

Technical learning is encouraged both externally and within TPD’s own University program (TPDU). TPD strongly encourages and supports an individual’s career growth and upward mobility. As staff members advance in their career paths, opportunities may arise for advanced roles, in turn increasing responsibility and leadership options.

Job Requirements

  • NICET IV Certification or Valid Professional Engineers license in the State of New Jersey is required.
  • At least one or more of the following certifications are required: OSHA, ACI, NJSAT, TCC or CCTC.
  • Experience with inspection of Federal-aid projects and relevant certifications is not required but is a plus.
  • Experience with NJTA Capex or NJDOT Site Manager is not required but is a plus.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to drive a personal vehicle for transportation to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.
  • Strong organization and communication skills
