What You'll Do:

The Demand Planning position is responsible for the forecasting activities related to both customer and product forecasts going out 24 months. They have a highly visible role within the company and will work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, and Product Team Leads to provide an accurate forecast for the business. They also are responsible for managing the customer relationship between Traeger Operations and their individual customer Teams in order to promote collaboration and transparency.

How You'll Help Us Win:

  • Create demand forecasts for units & revenue, at multiple levels of aggregation based on micro and macro level market trends.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Closely monitor sales data to help drive an accurate forecast based on the latest retail trends. 
  • Responsible for mining data structures (BI and the Data warehouse) that will facilitate a clean data history for forecasting. 
  • Create New Product Launch Forecast process with input from product and sales leaders. 
  • Drive monthly discussions on product and forecast needs with sales leaders and product teams.
  • Contribute to a CPFR process by working with Sales, Marketing and Customers to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. 
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products launch, and product end of life strategies. 
  • Assist in preparation and end execution of the monthly S&OP meeting with internal Leadership. 
  • Assist with design and implementation of an S&OP process across operations and sales teams. 
  • Assist with monthly S&OP meetings with Leadership teams. 
  • Assist with revenue and product forecasts across all channels and customers. 
  • Generate ad hoc reporting for Sales to assist in decisions related to forecasting and planning. 
  • Works with Supply Planning to create a purchase plan for accessories & consumables. 

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • At least 3-5 years relevant experience or equivalent specialized education/training in supply chain and/or operations
  • Strong Excel manipulation skills required
  • MRP & ERP experience required (Vanguard/Epicor or equivalent)
  • Data analysis experience (including SQL, AWS Redshift, Domo/PowerBI) highly preferred
  • Experience with organization and presentation of meetings with key stakeholders
  • Organizational skills balancing the needs of ops, sales, and finance goals
  • Excellent communication with external and internal customers around forecasting process
