Summary:

The Graphic Designer works with creative team to support all cross-functional departments on a range of innovative projects, contributing throughout the entire creative process. You will create impactful designs that capture and sell our company vision while maintaining brand style guidelines. Responsible for, but not limited to, design and execution of complex product packaging, video production for social, marketing collateral, point of purchase displays, retail signage, innovative high quality animated content, printed goods such as coupons, sampling programs, catalogs and brochures as well as digital ad campaigns. To ensure success, you should have a background in graphic design with digital expertise, have an understanding of typography, layout, packaging, some video and animation, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate on projects. You should also be a highly motivated individual who is a master of owning their project timelines/deadlines and project organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meeting with stakeholders to determine the project scope.
• Comprehending strategy and developing creative concepts and implementations that are consistently on target with brand objectives.
• Working directly with brand managers, marketing, sales, e-commerce and social good to develop design concepts.
• Communicating effectively in a well-articulated, professional manner with creative and marketing staff.
• Working independently on projects from initial stages to completion providing design expertise and taking direction well yet grasping the opportunity to show initiative.
• Planning concepts by studying relevant information, materials, media techniques and design ideas.
• Illustrating concepts and developing multimedia content ideas and submitting them for approval.
• Designing and producing attractive multimedia content/graphic art by operating necessary equipment and software according to specifications.
• Creating digital images, video, and textual animation.
• Creating animated sequences using computer animation software like Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
• Recording, editing, and encoding audio files.
• Performing media edits based on user feedback.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time.
• Communicating with clients about layout and design.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
• Ensuring all design materials are consistent with corporate branding guidelines.
• Responsible for digitally archiving artwork upon completion of projects.
• DAM Experience preferred but not required.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a graphic designer
• A complete portfolio of multimedia and graphic design content showcasing your skills and experience.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital design, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of software design and video programs included in the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent knowledge of storyboarding, visual design principals, and animation.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to collaborate on long-term projects.
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and visually appealing content.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret business documents

• Ability to communicate via speech, writing and hearing with employees, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
• This is primarily a desk job with constant sitting and keyboarding. Must be able to sit and type in an ergonomically correct position
• Ability to travel to different work locations and meeting sites
• Must be able to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Working Location Requirements:

• This position is based in Rohnert Park, CA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Tuesday and Thursday. Subject to change.
• Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

Work Environment:

Employee works in a busy administrative office with moderate noise as well as visiting other offices, warehouses, production environments and external partner sites. ​​​​​​​
