Tradewind Aviation is seeking a Director of Training to join our growing team. The Director of Training will be based out of the Oxford, CT location, reports to the Chief Pilot and is primarily responsible for ensuring that training for Tradewind Aviation flight crews meet or exceed all FAA requirements. Along with the Chief Pilot, as well as ground and flight instructors, the Director of Training ensures flight crews are well trained to meet the demands of 135 flying, interfaces with the FAA on training matters and works with training vendors to ensure that all training is completed as efficiently as possible.

Requirements

• Schedule and oversee all Tradewind Aviation training events
• Maintain records of all pilot training
• Continually update Tradewind Aviation’s FAA-approved training program
• Oversee third party training vendors
• Oversee ground and flight instructors
• Suggest and make continuous improvements to training provided to crewmembers
• Assist other departments with their training needs

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A bachelor’s degree or higher
• Experience with FAA Part 135 operations
• A private pilot certificate or higher
• Experience working with the FAA
