SUMMARY:

The Technical Sales role is an essential component of the sales organization that focuses on outbound prospecting to establish legitimate opportunities on behalf of the company. Your experience will help you achieve orders, revenue targets and manage all aspects of engagements with existing and new customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers
  • You are customer obsessed, strategic, and driven by results
  • Prospect new business through cold calls, warm leads, and collaboration with sales office team to exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales quotas
  • Prospect, penetrate and cultivate new and existing accounts
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns
  • Demonstrate, promote, and sell products/services using strong product and application knowledge to existing and prospective customers
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Build customer loyalty and strong relationships by providing an exceptional level of service
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to meet or exceed customer expectations and coordinate sales effort.
  • Identify opportunities and build credibility with customers, utilize your product and industry knowledge to deliver the value proposition to the customers
  • Track and keep current of all opportunities and customer information
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Travel in this position is approximately 50% and will include overnights; territory will be based on skill set, existing relationships, and contacts
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the inventory, supply chain, logistics concepts, practices, and procedures in one or more of the verticals served
  • Proven results achieving and exceeding sales goals and targets
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Deep digital transformation understanding
  • Deep understanding of the collection of data and conversion to actionable intelligence
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Expert at Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Salesforce and help desk support software
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented professional with strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on site at corporate office
  • Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Daily repetitive motions with fingers, hands, and arms
  • Can routinely lift objects between 20-25 pounds
