Founded in 2015, the Southern California Food Allergy Institute (SCFAI) is a cutting-edge research and clinical care center revolutionizing food allergy treatment among the pediatric population. Our Tolerance Induction Program™ is the first of its kind, bringing patients to the point where they can eat whatever they want, whenever they want, without having to worry about any kind of reaction. The success of SCFAI is built on years of development involving proprietary biomarkers, data analytics and modeling systems which allow unique patient specific therapy to be deployed in the clinic setting and at home safely.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a proven Business Development Manager with experience in B2B business development looking to join a remarkable organization in the early stages of what is set to be explosive and sustained growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote environment, possesses a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrates a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales/business selling. Experience in healthcare is a big plus but not required. Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales required.

Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

  • Provides strategic and tactical direction for the business development team
  • Oversees and is accountable for overall business development performance to include coaching and mentoring, performance analysis and review, data mining, lead development and other BD specific elements
  • Utilizes appropriate marketing and sales methodologies to reach goals in driving business within healthcare (physicians), hospitality, large employers, municipalities, and other to be determined B2B targets
  • Manages key relationships and follows-up regularly with targets to assess and to identify additional business opportunities, and strives to achieve business goals.
  • Work with marketing to support and develop communications strategies.
  • Partners with the executive team to identify and participate in local and regional events.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Self starter, strong initiative
  • 5 years experience in B2b sales and/or business development required
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk between multiple office locations that include the use of stairs (elevator is only available in some instances). This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
