The Automotive Retail Internship will enable you to be a part of an elite automotive team and learn from a well-established automotive company that partners with 9 manufacturers across 19 dealerships within the Midwest region. If you have an innate desire for technology, efficiency and continuous improvement, and to be a part of transforming the automotive industry, then we have a place for you! This unique opportunity will provide you with both personal and professional development while focusing on sharpening your technical skillsets to help you transition into a career within the automotive industry! As an Automotive Retail Intern, you will have exposure to all segments of dealership operations including but not limited to Sales, Parts, and Service. This will provide a robust perspective of how each segment fits into the total dealership automotive operations process. This is a structured program that provides an eight-week, full-time immersion into the automotive world with the opportunity to learn various aspects of the industry.

The ideal outcome of the Automotive Retail Internship is to welcome you as a permanent teammate at Baxter Auto.

Your Purpose as a College Intern:

• Develop and grow your knowledge of the total automotive business industry.
• Collaborate with store leadership teams to ensure you are learning from experienced professionals with extensive knowledge of automotive industry practices.
• As an intern, you will be given the opportunity to learn all parts of the automotive industry through structured designed time in each part of the business.
• Each intern will be aligned to store-specific leaders to gain thorough business knowledge.
• Each Intern will be assigned to a group project that will enable team collaboration while developing a strategic game plan within the store operation.
• Will have exposure to executive leadership team throughout the internship.
• The purpose is to develop and grow your career by finding a place for you in one of our 19 locations by the end of the program!

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or Graduate degree program with a projected graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
