**Hiring Range $54,152.00 - $65,500.00**
Responsible for developing and delivering programs to support resident and business education and awareness concerning the Town’s programs and events, and to increase interaction and involvement with the community. Work involves considerable contact with the public through homeowners associations, property management companies and other community organizations. Work requires close cooperation with the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce and other business and professional networks to advance knowledge of the Town and promote enhanced relationships. Considerable creativity, flexibility and independence is essential to this position. Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to customer service is required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Communications and Outreach Director.

• Serves as primary liaison to the Town’s business community in support of outreach initiatives that enhance Town relationships and support Town departments, programs, events, and activities.
• Coordinates communications with homeowners associations and supports and attends meetings as required.
• Develops and delivers programs to support education and awareness in the business community about Town programs, projects, and events.
• Writes, edits, designs, and coordinates distribution of communications collateral in support of outreach initiatives that enhance Town relationships with the business community.
• Primary community outreach support for public safety (police and fire) communications and outreach activities.
• Provides support for special events and programs to the public, Town officials, and Town staff. 
• Maintains and manages contact information for contact lists/databases related to business education and outreach functions (i.e., homeowners associations, businesses, and developers). 
• Develops tracking mechanism for business database and maintains databases.
• Provides support for Town branding and other image program initiatives.
• Collects and analyzes data for compilation of Town statistical reports and demographics.
• Performs other related community outreach work as necessary to promote positive exposure for the town.
• Performs related tasks as required.

Considerable knowledge of social media platforms; considerable knowledge of Adobe Cloud and Microsoft Office products and other database management software; thorough knowledge of the Town’s organizations and functions; ability to conceptualize, design, plan and implement various community outreach programs and events; ability to develop effective relationships with community partners, businesses, and professional contacts; ability to manage time effectively; ability to multi-task; ability to present information orally and in writing; ability to present an effective and professional appearance in public.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field. Some experience in community-based programming or project management, preferably in local government, is preferred.
