SUMMARY
This position provides a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled laboring tasks in support of the operation and maintenance of Town streets, roadways, rights of ways, parks, trails, drainage facilities, and other Town infrastructure. Work also includes vehicle maintenance and building maintenance.
PAY AND BENEFITS
The anticipated hiring range for this non-exempt position is $18.70 to $23.08 an hour and is dependent on experience and qualifications.
The Town of Fraser offers a robust benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and a 4% matching contribution to the Town’s 401(a) and 457(b) retirement plans. The Town also offers discounts at the Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation Center, and free access to Colorado ski areas. The successful candidate will also receive a $4,000 signing bonus, up to $5,000 for relocation assistance, and up to $1,000 a month housing assistance for the first 6 months of employment.

This is a line staff position that reports to the Street Superintendent and receives frequent supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have good communication and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated, work autonomously and with others. Must be able to use and operate the following: telephone, calculator, computer and two-way radio.
Must have working knowledge in the operation of wheel loaders, skid steer loaders, single and double axle dump trucks and vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions such as full sized pick-ups and dump trucks.
Other licenses may be required and obtained as necessary.
Must have basic knowledge in the following trades and equipment: carpentry, concrete, plumbing and roofing; hand, power and air tools such as wrenches, drills, sanders, hammers, saws, cut-off saw, sanders, chain saw, portable compactors, lawnmower, snow blower, weed trimmer, table saw, grinders, chop saw, floor jacks, grease guns, trash pumps, weed control equipment, acetylene torches, stick welders and gas generators.
Good vision and hearing (with corrections ok). Requires continual standing, sitting, walking, stooping, crouching, bending, reaching, fingering, handling, and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to lift and carry weights of approximately 80 lbs. and, push and/or pull weights of approximately 250 lbs. Must also be able to work in high places accessed by ladders and lifts on heights upwards of 30 feet, and, be able to safely work in confined spaces such as metering pits, storage tanks, trenches, vaults and manholes.
Environmental conditions range from extreme heat and cold to wet and humid, mold, noise, dust and fumes. Must be able to safely handle industrial and hazardous chemicals.
