Description

The Human Resources Administrator performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, benefits management, payroll functions, employee orientation, employee onboarding, compliance and accounting. This position requires a perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The administrator must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. Essential functions include maintaining all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies, track employee disciplinary action, process unemployment and workers' compensation claims, assist with recruitment tasks, maintain employee personnel files, maintain Dept. of Transportation (DOT) driver files, process new hire paperwork, develop and conduct new employee orientation, safety and compliance training, alcohol/food safety training, organize and manage benefit enrollment and benefit billing processes, invoices, 401K reporting and HSA semi-monthly reporting, provide oversight and complete bi-weekly, semi-monthly and special payroll process for entire company including the electronic time and attendance system, administer COBRA for group health plans, maintain and coordinate employee recognition program, maintain new hire and terminated employee benefit card program. Secondary functions include assisting the Staff Accountant in the reconciliation of human resources insurance general ledger accounts, providing summary plan document information to all benefit employees within 90 days of benefit enrollment as required by ERISA, annual filing of 5500 report, EEO report, non-discrimination testing report and 1095c forms, maintain ACA information in Paylocity, update holiday list in Paylocity at year end for the upcoming year, assist employees with missed punches and resetting their passwords, answer employee HR/payroll and company benefit questions, write up employee ROA tickets and give to accounts payable each payroll period, send out PTO calendars to salaried employees twice a month and enter PTO taken during the month into the month end payroll, work with assistant to HR/Payroll Department on completing tasks each month. Requirements

This position has a part time assistant for backup to payroll and HR duties. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. This is a regular fulltime position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Local travel to various company locations is required.
