Touro University Nevada is Hiring a Warehouse Manager Near Henderson, NV

Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the accurate and efficient completion of the receipt, dispatching, and storage of goods. The Warehouse Manager is primarily responsible for the asset management fulfillment of the warehouse, while also managing, training, and developing warehouse staff, vehicles, and other equipment, and overseeing security in the 882 suite, sanitation, and administrative functions. The Warehouse manager ensures that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction and inventory integrity being the primary goals.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

1.The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the following warehouse related operations:

1.1. Maintain receiving, warehousing and asset/consumable distribution operations by coordinating, and enforcing program and operational policies and procedures, while building relationships with campus stakeholders.

1.2. Ensure the 100% software inventory accuracy of all assets and consumable products stored within the 882-warehouse building.

1.3. Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to assist them in ensuring 100% software inventory accuracy of all assets stored within the 874-campus building.

1.4. Responsible for improving the productivity of the department's employees. This position assesses developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for warehouse staff. This position implements effective methods to educate, enhance and recognize performance.

1.5. Participate in asset check-in/check-out process of inventory items in the inventory software, as well as fulfilling consumable item requests from the inventory software for applicable campus personnel.

1.6. Collaborate and facilitate with the Projects, Events and Facilities departments on larger campus wide initiatives that involve requirements from the Asset Mgmt. org.

1.7. Provide oversight for warehouse staff; monitoring and appraising job results and providing coaching, and counseling, when necessary. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

1.8. Reports and makes recommendations to Director, Procurement & Asset Management for any process and software updates, warehouse safety or staff / stakeholder training needed.

1.9. Approve timesheet(s) for the warehouse staff.

1.10. Assist campus personnel with questions, requests, and issue resolution in a courteous and timely manner.

1.11. Provide back-up for Logistics Specialist in the areas of receiving, shipping, and campus deliveries, when needed.

1.12. Ensures that all items in the warehouse are properly stored to include refrigerated items and that any required special needs are being met.

1.13. Ensures a minimum of one staff member is available to address stakeholder needs during the business hours of 8 am to 4:30 pm.

2. General:

2.1. Ensure the maintenance, good repair, and cleanliness of warehouse equipment.

2.2. Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols.

2.3. Controls inventory levels by initiating physical counts and reconciling with the inventory data storage software.

2.4. Will perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Three years of warehouse management experience required

Maintenance experience preferred

Skills & Abilities: Possession of a valid Nevada driver’s license

Ability to train, develop and manage warehouse personnel

Strong analytical skills and organizational skills

Capable of solving moderate problems without help

Ability and clearance to drive company vehicles

Ability to drive box trucks up to 26’

Ability to work varied shifts

Ability to multi-task

Strong customer service skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of personnel

Ability to use hand tools, climb ladders up to 10 ft. and feel comfortable with heights

Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. regularly

Proficiency in the following software programs:

Inventory Mgmt. software experience preferred

Microsoft Office Programs:

  • Word/Excel
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
