Touchmark, an award-winning developer, owner, and operator of full-service retirement communities in the western United States and Canada, is currently seeking an IT Technician to join the team at our central office in Beaverton, Oregon. In this role, you will serve as part of the team that provides technical support in a LAN/WAN environment to all of the employees at our central office and in each of our 13 retirement communities. Your responsibilities will include supporting multiple Microsoft desktop operating systems, administering Microsoft Server 2008/2012 and Microsoft Exchange 2010, implementing and maintaining security hardware, and maintaining backups and server hardware. The schedule for this position will primarily be regular business hours, Monday through Friday. However, due to varying projects and the need to support a 24/7 operation, the individual who fills this position should have some flexibility in their availability. Some travel (up to 15%) will also be a part of this role. Requirements: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide support for users in individual and group settings, both in person and on the telephone Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science, or a combination of education and relevant experience; Microsoft certifications a plus 4 years’ administration experience in a Windows Server 2008/2012 environment 4 years’ experience working with MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange and Symantec Backup Exec Adequate expertise with Microsoft Applications (Exchange, SQL, IIS, and Office) to provide 2nd and 3rd level support for users Solid understanding of routing switching and VPN, as well as troubleshooting TCP/IP networks Ability to travel as needed
