As a Medication Aide/Med Tech with Touchmark, you will enrich lives every day by relying on your experience and knowledge of medication systems and procedures to ensure that residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods receive the highest level of dignity and care. Base wage is $21.00/hr $1.00/hr shift differential for evening shift or $2.00/hr for overnight/NOC shift Your responsibilities in this role will include: Dispensing and recording medications in the eMAR software system Giving oral medications and/or applying topical ointments as prescribed Assisting with resident care as able throughout your shift Build relationships with the amazing people who live and work in our community The ideal candidate will: Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Have one year of experience working as a Med Tech, or have completed a state-certified Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment Provide assistance and emotional support to residents using the Best Friend’s Approach to dementia care Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
