Torch Technologies is Hiring an Information Systems Administrator (Senior) Near Montgomery, AL
Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Information Systems Administrator at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, AL.
Support the enhancement and upgrade of legacy applications by analyzing and developing change requirements; planning, modifying, and implementing new software components and changes to applications; utilizing application configuration control systems; creating and updating application documentation; and testing and integrating application changes; and troubleshooting and following through with corrective actions.
Perform and assist with the FEM account of the Atlassian Tool Suite to include Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Assist with the expansion of BES Atlassian Tool Suite Services via Knowledge-Base Articles. Perform primary day-to day account access.
Application Development and Modification:
Develop, program and implement applications, reports and data sources based on Program Manager (PM) approved requirements. Common development tools, languages and methods shall be used. New tools may be required by the government as technology advances. Software solutions shall operate over the government network. Follow the industry recognized software lifecycle process and/or adhere to the Application Development/Maintenance Process Guide, depending upon the project. Conduct software development and modification activities in accordance and compliance with the government's level maturity of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). Troubleshoot and fix application modules and/or reports that were written by other developer(s).
The successful candidate shall have an Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD or a BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD or 20 years of directly related experience with, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
Secret Clearance (Required)
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, or related technical discipline is required
At a minimum, the successful candidate will meet the requirements for and maintain a CompTIA Security (or higher - DODI 8570/8140)
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Provide support and assistance in the management and operations of program related network systems including, but not limited to, the following:
Provides system administration of Network, Web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and involving network security.
Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths required for complete solutions.
Performs the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, client/server, or cloud based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Aids users in accessing and using business systems.
