TOPS is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for Financial Reporting including consolidations, general ledger, monthly account reconciliations. You will have one direct report. You’ll be joining a talented and dedicated team working in the FinTech industry, operating in a fast-paced M&A company. This is a great opportunity to grow in your Accounting career.

This full-time salaried role reports to our Corporate Controller and is remote eligible, with preference for applicants in EST.

What you’ll do

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform monthly account balance reconciliations
• Ad hoc projects as requested by supervisor and CFO
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships within the organization
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end

You should have

• Required: Minimum degree Bachelor’s in Accounting
• Required: 5 years experience in accounting
• Preferred: Experience in the Software Industry
• Preferred: Public Accounting experience
• Preferred: CPA and/or MBA
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with other financial systems, NetSuite preferred
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
