Topcon Medical Systems is Hiring a Remote Field Service Technician

Based in Oakland, NJ, Topcon is a comprehensive diagnostic device manufacturer within the worldwide eye care community. Additionally, Topcon now provides an integrated service that connects practitioners to an extensive network of reading services to assist in the management of sight-threatening eye diseases. Job Purpose for FST (Field Service Technician): This position requires traveling to customer sites to perform repair, Preventive Maintenance, and installation of Topcon and non-Topcon products. This individual will receive comprehensive training before going into the field and providing customer support. This individual will be responsible for both hardware and software solutions and will contribute to a positive customer experience. Job Description: Perform on-site support by troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and installing Topcon and non-Topcon products Inspect product to meet manufacturer specifications Provide technical support to customers Communicate with customers to determine needs and explain complex issues Establish relationships with CAS team, Regional Sales Managers, and local customers Document service/repair actions by completing service reports/logs in Salesforce Draft and submit reports as needed Attend in-person and online training to further enhance regulation and technical knowledge Escalate customer feedback to Field Service Manager Requirements: Degree in Engineering or similar field, preferred Service experience in eyecare industry, preferred Basic networking knowledge Outstanding communication skills Understanding of safety guidelines Must adhere to company dress code Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to travel 95% of the time Ability to work after hours, weekend or holidays Strong customer service skills Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks Must have strong “follow up” skills Topcon Healthcare sees eye health differently.
