Summary
Under the direction of the Molding Manager, the Tool Maker is responsible for the start-to-finish construction of new tooling as well as modifications/repair of existing tooling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary at any time.
Perform Injection Mold Maintenance to include disassembly, cleaning, insert changing, and basic repair.
Maintain the preventive maintenance records for tooling per established procedures.
Assure tool readiness according to the production schedule.
Recommend changes required to part design, tool design or equipment capability to achieve acceptable quality and cost requirements.
Participate and offer input to corrective and preventive action and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain proper housekeeping practices and mold storage requirements.
Communicate with company employees in a positive, team-oriented manner.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and standards.
