Production Equipment Operator-US Applicants Only.

Job Summary :

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Farm Production Equipment Operator to join our team. The main responsibility of this role is to operate and maintain a variety of farm equipment and machinery, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency in all farm operations.

The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

As a Farm Production Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting the overall success of our farming operations.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Operate a wide range of farm equipment and machinery, including tractors, planters, combines, sprayers, and harvesting equipment, efficiently and safely.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on farm equipment, including greasing, oil changes, belt replacement, and tire repairs to ensure optimal functionality and prevent breakdowns.
  • Evaluate and monitor equipment performance to identify any potential issues and troubleshoot them promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
  • Implement and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with farm management to plan and execute daily farming activities, including planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops.
  • Use precision agriculture technology and GPS systems to optimize farming practices and maximize yields.
  • Assist with general farm tasks as needed, such as hand labor and property maintenance.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in farm equipment technology and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Proven experience operating a variety of farm equipment, such as tractors, planters, combines, sprayers, and harvesters.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Strong understanding of precision agriculture technology and GPS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of farm safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor as required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, Class A CDL is a plus.

Working Conditions :

The Farm Production Equipment Operator will primarily work outdoors and be exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather.

This role may require standing or sitting for extended periods and may involve bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects or equipment.

Additionally, the Farm Production Equipment Operator may be required to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak farming seasons.
