tnasolutions is Hiring a Commissioning Engineer Near Wilsonville, OR

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will be responsible for the commissioning of equipment and lines, reviewing of Customer’s Requirements with Sales, Project Managers and Technical Support Engineers to help determine recommendations for technical solutions, and training responsibilities. This person will also be the main contact to provide input and feedback to R&D engineering.

This position can be based in our Wilsonville, Oregon, TNA NA Manufacturing location and will report to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Your core Responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Assist Sales & Project Managers to accurately understand customer needs, layouts and solutions upon complexity of the Project
  • Verify electrical, mechanical & layout documentation to ensure it is received correctly and with the last version, before ordering it, during installation and until end of projects
  • Promotes Service Contracts and Sales, including Original Spares and Upgrades throughout the region
  • Provide In-house Technical Training and Seminars to tna staff and Basic Operator & Maintenance Training to Clients
  • Completes installation & machine commissioning in accordance with the client’s specifications and layout documentation including commissioning of complete lines and after finishing create commissioning reports to use as a resource to finalize installation orders and sign off
  • Provide input and feedback to the R&D Team, relating to product modifications, faults and development potential

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Qualifications in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, electrical trade or other relevant field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years servicing experience with a focus on repair and testing of electronic and mechanical equipment
  • Experience in a field engineering role, dealing with mechanical, electrical and software issues is considered highly.
  • Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous
  • Working knowledge of current market trends and competitors
  • Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Fully competent in industrial electronic theory and schematics
  • Understands PLC
  • Mechanical Aptitude, methodical and well organised
  • Able to multitask, be flexible and work under pressure
  • Ensures a collaborative approach and is able to seek and listen to feedback
  • Identification with tna values including being a team player, passionate, professional, committed, honest and treat people with dignity and respect
  • Bilingual with English language proficiency, written and verbal (if applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
  • Valid passport and prepared to travel at short notice, locally and overseas
